Privacy & Cookie Policy
Your privacy matters to me. This page explains, in plain words, what personal data this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It applies to thelionvoyager.com.
Last updated: 8 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Graziano Gagliardi – The Lion Voyager. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to thelionvoyager@gmail.com.
2. What data I collect and why
- Contact form and emails. When you use the contact form or write to me, I receive your name, email address, subject and message, plus anything you choose to tell me about your trip. I use them only to answer you and, if you wish, to plan your trip. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and my legitimate interest in replying to you (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Technical and security data. Like every website, the server records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. A security plugin uses this data to block attacks and spam. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Statistics. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures visits in aggregate (how many people visit, which pages are read). IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
I do not sell your data, I do not use it for advertising, and I do not send newsletters unless you explicitly ask for them.
3. Who receives your data
- Bluehost (Newfold Digital Inc.), the company that hosts this website.
- Google: Gmail, where contact messages arrive; Google Fonts, which provides the website’s typefaces; and Google Analytics, only if you consent.
- Instagram and Facebook (Meta) only if you click the links to my profiles – this website does not embed their trackers.
These providers act on my behalf or as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. Some of them are based in the United States: transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long I keep your data
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to answer you and organise your trip, and deleted within 24 months of our last contact, unless the law requires me to keep them longer (for example, booking and invoicing records). Security logs are kept for a short period, usually no more than 30 days. Analytics data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just write to thelionvoyager@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small text files saved in your browser. This website uses only a few: the necessary ones are always on, and analytics cookies are set only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the banner, or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.
Embedded content: this website loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to deliver them.
7. Children
This website is not aimed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes to this policy
I may update this page when the website changes. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
