Short break ideas

Siena

One of the most popular cities in Tuscany, a place extremely rich in history and art, with strong local traditions tied to its 17 districts called “contrade”) and to the famous Palio di Siena, the biggest annual event that takes place twice every summer in the city.

Athens

A very attractive city, there is an amazing atmosphere when you walk around the Plaka area, from the Acropolis you will have the best view of the city (avoid July/August, too hot). You should also make time for a day trip to Delphi, Nafplio and Mycenae.

Seville

You can travel to Seville in any month of the year, as the weather is perfect all year round. The city is known for its rich history, stunning architecture (The Royal Alcázars, Plaza de España) and authentic culture that includes plenty of tapas tasting and Flamenco dancing.

Edinburgh

Edinburgh is charming, everywhere you look in this hilly town, you’ll find incredible landscapes and historic buildings. Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill, Arthur's Seat and Dean Village are just few of the best attractions of the Scottish capital.

Porto

Porto has become one of the most eclectic destinations in Europe in the last few years, with plenty of restaurants and bars along the Duero river, there's something for everyone. When you are in Porto, go on a day trip to the Douro Valley (1 hour by car), one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world.

Hamburg

Hamburg has been one of Europe's most important ports for centuries, the city was built upon a number of islands formed by the famous Elbe river.  The city now is a mix between the old and new buildings after the World War II bombings. It's compared to Venice for its bridges and canals.

Bologna

Often overlooked in favour of Italy’s other tourism heavy hitters, Bologna, capital of the northern Emilia Romagna region, is where some of the country’s best food, architecture, and people can be found. Food is a very big deal here, as it is throughout the Emilia Romagna region – the home of parma ham, balsamic vinegar and parmesan.

Cornwall

Right at the end of the United Kingdom, famous for breathtaking beautiful beaches (such as Porthcurno and Pedn), and waves for surfers, Cornwall has one of the most stunning coastlines in the UK. Turquoise waters, clifftop walks and pretty villages with open-air theatre are few of the best things to do in this area. Personally I compare Cornwall to Australia.

London

One of the most diverse, exciting and vibrant city in the world, with some of the world's best sights, attractions and activities. At any time of the day/night you can find something to do. One visit to the capital city of the UK won't be enough.

Berlin

An ideal place for a city break in Europe, filled with an eclectic mix of history, culture, beautiful sights, street arts, local food and stunning museums. Berlin Cathedral, Brandenburg Gate, East Side Gallery and Checkpoint Charlie are just few of the many attraction of the city.
