WHERE TO GO WHEN: MY GUIDE TO THE BEST HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD FOR EVERY MONTH OF THE YEAR

WE TRAVELLED ALL AROUND CORNWALL FOR 15 DAYS AND DISCOVERED FANTASTIC PLACES

Spectacular cities, ancient ruins, wonderful museums, wonderful mountains, great beaches, and of course food

A Week Between Palm Trees And Turtles

France is one of those amazing countries that is so diverse and vast that you could literally spend months exploring, there are plenty of stunning places to visit. It’s one of the most visited countries in the world, and you can find everything you are looking for, as is a country blessed with gorgeous cities like Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, stunning landscape with the Alpine mountains, beautiful Chateaux and Vineyards for a relaxing wine retreat and spectacular sea coast cities in the South in the Côte D’Azur with spectacular places like Nice, Cannes, and St. Tropez.
While visiting France, some travellers combine a visit to one of the many wineries around the country, France is the world’s second largest wine producer, taken over by Italy in 2015. The type, taste, and flavour of the wine varieties depend on the wine regions. The top wine regions in the country are Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire Valley, Provence, and Rhone Valley.
We visited this country just only once in 2009, a while ago, we were in Paris and surrounding, every year we plan to go back but always something came in the way and we never went back so far, with the Eurostar from London is just 2 hours journey.
Paris is a fantastic city for a city break or for the start of your visit around the country, it’s one of the most beautiful cities in the world, is the city of art and of fashion, there are thousands things to do and see.
Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower is a must-do for everyone, walk down the Champs Elysées, visit the Louvre, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, a boat cruise on the Seine or a visit to the Palace of Versailles are the most iconic places this city has to offer. Moving around the city is very easy, as there is a very good Metro and Tram service, but if you love to walk, in Paris you will not get bored. In the Champs-Élysées, you will find luxury boutiques and up-market restaurants, wander through Montmartre, the hangout for writers and artists, everywhere you turn there are cafes, boutiques and vintage stores.

To see one of the country’s most impressive palaces, you can take a 30 minutes train ride from Paris to Versailles, this will be one of the best day trips to do during your stay in Paris. The palace, the gardens, and the fountain are really beautiful, we spent a full day in Versailles, we hired the bikes to go around the garden (they are huge), and we did a picnic with the typical fresh baguette looking the Château. Another interesting day trip if you fancy theme parks, could be Disneyland Park, just 50 minutes by train from the centre of Paris.

Paris is certainly a place for couples, given its great reputation for romance, its relaxed atmosphere gives couples a nice break away, where they can enjoy everything Paris has to offer.
Another incentive for visiting France is for sure the ease of travel within the Country and also its strategic position in the centre of Europe, it’s always an advantage for example if you are planning to cross Europe in a road trip, it can be a stopover or you can combine the visit of France with one of his neighbour countries like Spain, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.

Montmartre

Montmartre is full of charm! Cute village in the middle of Paris with particular streets to walk by and an amazing atmosphere for the evening

Mont Saint Michel and Saint Malo

Mont-Saint Michel is probably one of the most iconic images of France and it is also one of its most beautiful sites. Plan an amazing weekend in Britanny to discover the beautiful Pink Granite Coast

Châteaux and vineyards in the Loire valley

The Loire Valley is the chateau country and will take your breath away. There are over 300 chateaus in this region and most of them were built, simply, because the French kings started constructing holiday homes, the result? Incredible castles like the iconic Château de Chambord and the royal Château d’Amboise

The French Riviera..the Côte d'Azur

The French Riviera is known to the world for its glamour and beauty, but these spots take it to a whole new level. From the beaches and boardwalks of Cannes, Nice and Monaco to the lavender fields of Grasse and the medieval village of Èze, there's a lot to discover all year round
