TOP 10

Destinations

Winter has officially arrived in Europe, temperatures are going down, but November still offers plenty of opportunities for adventures around the world.
Trekking to the top of the world in the Himalaya Mountains in Nepal, enjoy snorkelling or scuba diving in the warmer waters of Mauritius and Red Sea, or travel around Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos discovering temples, ruins and the rice terraces in the countryside. Those countries of Asia are wonderful to explore this month, after the monsoon rains have passed.
For a more relaxed and warmer early winter break it’s hard to beat the peaceful islands of the Indian Ocean, in Mauritius you can spend days relaxing and enjoying pleasant temperature.
The Canary Islands are Europe’s most reliable options for winter sun, rarely you will have temperature below 20C. Tenerife can offer you beyond the beach, wonderful hiking trails and a volcano. November is also a beautiful month to visit Iceland. It might be cold but there are endless options for great activities and fun! It is the perfect month to skip the high season crowds and see the beautiful Northern Lights. Argentina is also a gorgeous destination to visit in November, Buenos Aires is perfect for sightseeing and Patagonia finally blooms into spring. One of my favourite location to visit in Europe in November? The Douro Valley in Portugal, the colours of the vineyards are just incredible this time of the year.

The average temperature in Tel Aviv and around Israel in November is 19°C, perfect for a winter break. Tel Aviv is the coolest city in the Mediterranean, there is an amazing feeling all day long, is an amazing 24 hour city of culture, events, nightlife and beaches, a city with great food, a great atmosphere, and great experiences. With a beautiful 35 mins walk along the coast you will arrive in Jaffa, I really recommend walking because the scenery is stunning. Jaffa, the Old City, is not to be missed. Next city to explore is Jerusalem, the Old City is home to the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque – The Temple Mount.

Due to its proximity to the tropic of Capricorn, the island of Mauritius benefits from a tropical climate. The island can be visited pretty much anytime of the year, the month of November is definitely not the warmest time of year, but it's one of the best time to visit the island of Mauritius for holidays. With amazing white sandy beaches, stunning blue water, mountains, and so much more packed in one country, you won’t run out of things to see in Mauritius! Ile aux Cerfs is one of the most picturesque island to visit in the east coast of Mauritius.

Buenos Aires is perfect for sightseeing, Patagonia finally blooms into spring, particularly El Calafate and Bariloche. It’s a great month to head to Patagonia before the crowds arrive in December, especially Los Glaciares National Park, home of 13 glaciers and the iconic Mt. Fitz Roy. Buenos Aires and Iguazú Falls are generally hot over these time.

Porto is the perfect city break, where you can walk around the city, enjoy the food, the wine, the colours of the city and the breath-taking views from the famous Ponte Dom Luís I. The average temperature of this area of Portugal is around 15°C this time of the year. When you go to Porto a visit to the Douro Valley is a must, is just 1 hour driving in the mainland, passing beautiful scenery of the valleys. If you want to stay overnight in the area I highly suggest the Quinta da Pacheca Vinery.
