LONDON and surrounding

the multiple corners of the most diverse city in the world

London is one of the world’ s most attractive cities, with its vibrant culture, London is pure magic. I’ve been living in this city for over six years and I just love it. It’s one of the world’s most visited cities and it has something for everyone – from history and culture to amazing food and plenty of museums and attractions to visit, you will never get bored. No matter how long you’ve lived in or visited London, there’s always something new to see and to explore. London hosts all kinds of attractions that suit all sorts of preferences, and there’s always something interesting going on.
For many Londoners, living in the capital means working hard and counting down the days until the weekend to enjoy a nice pint of beer in one of the many pubs or beer gardens around the city, but sometimes it’s easy to forget why London is so great.
If you are a fashion lover you are in the right city, London is one of the four main fashion capitals of the world, with London Fashion Week happening twice a year in February and September. They serve afternoon tea everywhere! If you’re a fan of finger sandwiches and unlimited tea, London is where you’ll find it. It has some of the most beautiful buildings on the planet, both old and new, which make walking around the city one of the best experiences to do wile here.
One of the reason why I love London is the green space that you have in the city, no matter which part of the city you live in, you’re always close to a garden or a park, that will give you the opportunity to have a refreshing lunch break, and fill up the energy that you need in a busy city like this.
Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, Hampstead Heath, Richmond Park, Greenwich Park are just few of the most beautiful parks in the city.
It’s very easy to go around thanks to the amazing underground and overground system that connects every part of the city – if you are staying over 5 days I highly suggest to buy a weekly oyster card, so you can save some money, the public transport in London is not very cheap but is functional.

North London

North London is one of the oldest residential districts in London, is a mix of residential villages and vibrant areas to visit. In Primrose Hill you will see one of the best view of the city, while Camden Town is one of the most famous markets of London with over 1000 shops and stalls selling fashion, music, art and food next to the Camden Lock. One of North London’s most picturesque locations is Hampstead, surrounded by the beautiful 320-hectare of Hampstead Heath. The perfect spot to relax with friends on a sunny day.

East London

My favourite area of the city, in recent years East London has become one of the coolest areas of the city, there are so many vibrant and quirky neighbourhoods where you’ll find street food, vintage shops and eccentric cafes and bars in every corner. In the area of Shoreditch, Hackney and London Fields you will find some of the best rooftop bars of the city.

West London

With beautiful parks, pretty architecture, and a ‘posh’ reputation, the west side of London is the most expensive of the city. The borough of Kensington, Notting Hill, Knightsbridge and Chelsea are some of the most beautiful areas of the city, where you can enjoy a relaxing walk and eat in some of the best restaurants, don’t forget to visit the picturesque canals of Little Venice.

South London

Situated south of the River Thames, South London is a collection of villages-areas that combine the best of the rural and urban worlds. Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk in Richmond, or want to explore the fascinating borough of Greenwich, Southwark and Lambeth or dance the night in Clapham and Brixton, you'll never be bored! Often seen as the more picturesque part of London and has more areas where you can “forget” you’re in a huge city.
